This is going to be my final Monday Links post until I get back from my holiday (SQUEEE!) because scheduling reviews I can do, scheduling links posts is just bonkers. BUT I am planning to upload a few holiday posts here and there and maybe some holiday mini-reviews. I don't know exactly but the blog definitely won't be empty for the next 5 weeks.
*Guillermo Del Toro's vampire novel The Strain is being made into a TV show for FX. Now I'm even more excited to listen to the audiobook version I downloaded for my holiday! (Via The AV Club)
*Because Christmas is nigh, here is a list of bookish gifts to get the bookworms in your life (Via Buzzfeed)
*In honour of the recently aired Doctor Who anniversay episode, here are a bunch of functional TARDISes (Via Mentalfloss)
*I'm not going to make it to New Orleans on my holiday, but I am bookmarking this "literary tourism" post for future travels. (Via Bookriot)
*One of the reasons I love indie bookstores is the creativity they can use in their displays, take this Perth bookstore Kaleido Books, for example. I LOVES THEM. (Via Buzzfeed)
*Rolling Stone did a huge profile on Charles Manson this last week and it is pretty epic. (Via Rolling Stone)
*Catching Fire is out! I haven't seen it yet (maybe tomorrow night?) but a bunch of bloggers have. Here's Preeti's (Bookriot) take, Belle's (Belle's Bookshelf) gif-filled review, and a non-book-reader opinion (Uproxx).

Film Trailer: Catching Fire
I only read The Hunger Games series a year or so ago, but already I'm looking at this trailer and thinking "wait, what happened in book 2?" You guys can help me fill the blanks (please!) but it looks like there's a lot of the revolution happening in the trailer, and wasn't that mostly in the third book? I know they have their little tour, and shit happened along that, so maybe it's just the fact they have completely omitted the fact the go back into the Games that it seems so book 3ish? Anyway, I think it looks pretty decent, although it looks like they've dialled up the costuming to an even crazier level. What does everyone else think?

Fanart Friday: Cinna from The Hunger Games
Cinna was easily one of my favourite characters in The Hunger Games. He was so understated and sensible, yet still managed to stand out as an individual. He had a great heart, an enviable capacity for understanding but he isn't afraid to show a little attitude when the time calls for it. Without spoiling anything, I wish he'd had a larger role in the books. Then again, perhaps if he'd been a more central character I would have tired of him, or he'd have done something obnoxious that tainted his early presence. Who could ever know? Anyway, here are a series of pictures of this wonderful minor character. Be sure to click through the links and see the rest of the artwork by these phenomenal artists.

Fanart Friday: The Hunger Games
Now that I've read the Hunger Games series (first review out tomorrow), I can finally dedicate a fanart post to it. Like Harry Potter, this series seems to capture people's creative attention and has led to hundreds of pictures of the characters, the relationships, the settings and the Mockingjay symbol. Here are just a handful of pictures which illustrate the best-selling series that will be hitting our screens shortly. As always, please click through the links and see more of the fantastic art created by these guys.
